FIFA Awards - World Cup 2002 "Golden Ball"

Three days before the Final, adidas, Official Sponsor, Supplier and Licensee 
of the 2002 FIFA World Cup(TM), had announced ten nominees for the adidas 
Golden Ball, arguably the most prestigious individual award in the world of 
football. Out of these ten nominated players, selected by the the FIFA 
Technical Study Group, 592 representatives of the media elected the winners 
of the adidas Golden, Silver and Bronze Ball. 

 1. Oliver KAHN (Germany                            174 votes    25 %    [Golden Ball]
 2. RONALDO Luiz Nazário de Lima (Brazil)           126   "      21 %    [Silver Ball]
 3. HONG Myung Bo (South Korea)                     108   "      18 %    [Bronze Ball]
 4. "RIVALDO" Vito Borba Ferreira (Brazil)           93   "      16 % 
 5. Ronaldo de Assis Moreira "RONALDINHO" (Brazil)   54   "       9 %
 6. Hasan SAS (Turkey)                               26   "       4 %
 7. El-Hadji DIOUF (Senegal)                         15   "       3 %
 8. ROBERTO CARLOS da Silva (Brazil)                 12   "       2 %
 9. Michael BALLACK (Germany)                         6   "       1 %
10. Fernando Ruiz HIERRO (Spain)                      5   "       1 %
