Jogos Desportivos da Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa (CPLP)

The first two editions predate the formal establishment of the CPLP in 1996. They were originally referred to as the Jogos Desportivos de Língua Portuguesa, or (in 1995 only) as the Jogos Desportivos do PALOP (Países Africanos de Língua Oficial Portuguesa).
