Notes: The Hungarian team was in fact the club Videoton SC, which was appointed by the
MLSZ to play as Hungary's Olympic team in this tournament. Iraq's team was their
national youth team in preparation for the World Youth Championship in February 1989.
The standard of the North Korean team is not clear; this tournament clashes with the
Thai King's Cup 1989, in which a North Korean team also played. It is unclear which
of the two teams (if any) was the national team. The Polish and Soviet teams were
mostly the national under-21 squads, with the addition of two overage players
(Poland: Kubisztal 25 and Bayer 24, USSR: Prudnikov 28 and Ketashvili 23).
