Poland - Autumn Champions 1962-2000

'Autumn champion' is the traditional term in Poland for denoting the team
who finishes the first autumn half of the season in the leading seat.
It doesn't carry any special honours, but at least harbours a hopeful
winter for its bearers.

Note that in 1977 the first four rounds of spring matches were also
played in autumn (in 1985 - first three rounds). This wasn't included
in the summary below.

From 1962 to 1999 autumn champions managed to repeat their success
at the end of the season 14 times, and finished outside of the top three
11 times. The lowest place they fell during spring was the 7th (in 1977).
