Paramaribo Trip of British Guiana 1921

At the occasion of the traditional festivities around the birthday of Queen Wilhelmina (on August 31st), the S.V.B. (Surinaamsche Voetbalbond) invited the B.G.F.A. (British Guiana Football Association) for a visit to Paramaribo. The visitors were also reported as Demerara (and Surinam as Hollandsch/Dutch Guyana); it appears all squad members were from Georgetown clubs, just as all Surinam players were based in Paramaribo. The match on August 28th was the first official match for a representation of the S.V.B., which had been founded on October 1st, 1920.
