The Tolsteegmonument, officially called Gedenkteken 1813-1913, is a memorial to the retreat of the French troops from Utrecht on 28 November 1813. It was placed near the Tolsteegbrug in 1914 but moved to the nearby Bijlhouwersbrug around 1930. Velox, a club from the Tolsteeg neighbourhood, offered a small replica of the monument at its annual pre-season tournament, which was won outright by C.V.V. thanks to their second successive win in 1937. The tournament was succeeded by that for the Zilveren Dom.

This tournament succeeded that for the Tolsteegmonument. (An earlier tournament for a Zilveren Dom was played on several occasions in the thirties, with Velox defeating Sopla (Amersfoort) 10-1 in the final on Jun 16, 1935, to claim that trophy for the third successive time and thus to keep.) The trophy, a small replica of the highest church tower in the Netherlands and Utrecht's main landmark, was to be won three times in succession or five times overall. Xerxes fulfilled the second condition in 1951 (after having failed to fulfil the first in 1946 and 1949, and having prevented L.O.N.G.A. from doing so in their 1951 semifinal). A second trophy was contested on two occasions, both won by the hosts, but the tournament was discontinued after the introduction of professional football; it was held once more as an amateur tournament, Zwaluwen Vooruit winning an all-Utrecht edition on Ascension Day 1960, before the trophy was on offer at horse trotting races in September that year.

The Vliegermonument (Aviators monument), officially known as the Monument voor de Pioniers van de Nationale Luchtvaart (Monument for the Pioneers of National Aviation) was unveiled in 1938 in Zuilen (now part of Utrecht), also the home of the football club Elinkwijk, who offered a miniature version in silver for various football tournaments. It had to be won three times in succession or five times overall, but that apparently never happened. As far as is known, it was contested on four occasions, each time in a different format.
