- Those teams that got a bye to the final without playing a semifinal match,
  are considered semifinalists.
- The four teams that won the Zonal Championships in 1978 and qualified to
  the Liga Mayor are considered semifinalists though no semifinal stage
  actually took place as the championship wasn't decided.
- The Intermediate round played after the second round between Quilmes and
  River Plate, both from Florida, in 1999 is considered as part of the
  second round.

Notes on format:


1965-1992 only one team per department in most cases, with the exception
of Colonia. Since 1966 the defending champions automatically qualify
sometimes with a bye in the first round(s).

1965      2 groupwinners for Coastal, South and East zone played zonal finals
          to join the winner of North zone (one group) in the semifinal,
          then final
1966      2 groupwinners from 3 zones (South and North were played together)
          played zonal finals to join the defending champion in the semifinal,
          then final
1967      knockout first, second & third round and then semifinal group (3
          teams), top two advance to the final
1968      knockout first & second round, then semifinal, final
1969-1974 knockout first, second & third round, then semifinal, final
