There were two editions that weren't finished: In 1978 only the Zonal Championships were played, and the four winners were qualified to the Liga Mayor 1978, to be played with montevidean clubs. In 1996, only one round was played between 18 teams, to qualify to the Torneo Nacional 1996, that qualified 6 teams to the Liguilla Pre Libertadores. The best teams from the Interior were River Plate (Rocha) and Central Durazno, that were eliminated in the Losers round by Rampla Juniors and Liverpool, respectively.
